The Cute Kitty and the Brave Fireman!

And that's about all you will know about Halloween because I can't find the pictures we took for some reason :(

Hopefully it's just a momentary loss...they were so adorable!

I apologize for my husband...

He LIVES to freak people out, scare them, do gross things JUST to see their reaction. I'm sure he's really bummed that he can't be there when you read about the scorpions and black widows so...please leave him a comment!

It would make him very happy :)

More office pets

First off so that everyone knows, this is Danny. I realize that it says that it is posted by Kristin but that is because I just haven't taken the time to open my own account. So I have actually written several posts like Vulture City, Office pets and so on. I'll make a point to identify myself so not to confuse anyone.

Anyway, I thought you guys would like to meet Scorpio. He's a very friendly little guy just so long as you don't look at him, touch him or blow on him.

Cute little guy, isn't he.

Office Pets

Here are some of the cool pets that we find at my office. I happened to have found all four of these. Since I started working here three months ago the pets that we have found are tied: four black widows to four scorpions. Believe it or not these make for a fun day. Pretending to throw them at people and such. We come up with our own little games.

Black Widow 1

The top picture shows all four (Precious, Cuddles, Snuggly and Fluffy)

Black Widow 2

This picture just shows Cuddles and Fluffy. Cuddles is on the left. If the picture makes them seem big it's because they are.

Didn't have a camera when we had our scorpions and now it's getting to cool for them to be out. But I'll get some soon.

No humans were hurt in the taking of these pictures.

Climbing and Cruising

Video of Evan and Caitie at the park on Monday. You can hear all of the kids in the background! We have been going to this park since we got to town and now that the weather is cooler there are dozens of kids here on any given day!

Vulture City Ghost Town

We spent most of Saturday in one of the best preserved ghost towns in the state. Not only do they have several buildings but they also have several items in the buildings. Such as furniture, stoves, pots and pans, tools, machinery and so on. It is a mining town that was discovered by a man named Henry Wickenburg in 1863. It has been unoccupied since WWII. You have to sign a release before walking around as they let you go anywhere you want and touch anything you want and most of the buildings could collapse the rest of the way any second of any day.

101_0495(rev 0) Not only did we go into this building (Assay Office and Shotgun shack built in 1884) but we even went upstairs. They say that there is around $600,000 worth of gold in the walls as they built it with rock from the mine.

101_0498(rev 0) This is where the guys with shotguns hung out.

101_0506(rev 0) Make my feet hurt just looking at them. But then again they are a hundred years old.

101_0521(rev 0) This was the machine shop. I'm standing on a gigantic diesel engine that was built in Germany, sent here and assembled where it sits in 1904.

101_0524(rev 0) Time for a quick stop on the potty. Sitting on 100+ year old poo.

101_0528(rev 0) Apartment house for the miners and yes we walked through this one to.

101_0531(rev 0) Evan found a car he likes.

Folgers in a glass jar.
